Usually when it comes to cleaning the laptop keyboard, people end up taking a duster and just wiping their faces. However, this will not remove all the dust and soil that often accumulates in the cracks. In due course, the collected dust and pillar will interfere with the operation of the keys. Here are some ways to clean your portable computer keyboard:
• If you have a compressed air tin, use it to blow away all the dust. This is the best way to have a spic and span keyboard.
• Or, you can open the keyboard and briefly tap the back to let the dust out. This method is an easy way to make the keys work, but it does not clean the keyboard properly.
• If you have confidence, you can loosen the keyboard cover and use a hair dryer. However, make sure that the dryer is placed in the coldest place before using it. Keep the hair dryer away and blow air on the keyboard to remove dust.

You can also clean the keyboard by removing the keys from the portable computer. This should only be done if you have some knowledge. You can use a screwdriver to remove individual keys from the keyboard and keep them in warm soapy water for about 10 to 15 minutes. This will help eliminate dirt stuck in the keys. While the keys are sinking,
take a wet cotton ball and gently wipe the keyboard. Then take another ball dipped in alcohol cleaning and wipe the board again. Make sure you pay special attention to all cracks. Now, set aside the keyboard and go to the keys.

Wash the keys under running tap water. Take a soft toothbrush and scrub the keys thoroughly to remove dirt and dust. Then place the keys next to the towel to dry. When they are completely dry, use a dry film coating to apply them. Be sure to lubricate the keys everywhere with lubricant. When the keyboard is completely dry, return each key to the board. Also, you now have a completely clean keyboard on your portable computer.
